RESEARCH

Bio-inspired Computing
Developing novel bio-inspired computing machines and programs inspired by Nature and endowed with capabilities such as adaptation, evolution, growth, healing, replication, and learning.
Co-design and Novel Reconfigurable Systems
Designing novel reconfigurable systems based on high-complexity field-programmable gate arrays which are able to adapt to changing environments or incomplete specifications.
Biologically Inspired Robots
Developing biologically inspired robots for (1) producing novel types of robots with dexterous locomotion and sensorimotor coordination abilities, and (2) investigating hypotheses of how central nervous systems implement these abilities in animals.
See the Biologically Inspired Robotics Group pages for more information.
